Android 2.1 Coming to Motorola CLIQ in November
Talk about lagging behind in the smartphone mobile operating system stakes, it appears that the Motorola CLIQ handset still hasn’t seen an upgrade to Android 2.1; however, Motorola CLIQ owners many not have much longer to wait.
According to an article over on Phandroid by Quentyn Kennemer and by way of Tmonews, the word is T-Mobile will be pushing out the upgrade to Android 2.1 for the Motorola CLIQ in November, which isn’t that far off so if all goes to plan it should be long.
Obviously it’s no Android 2.2 Froyo but Motorola CLIQ owners gin Android 2.1 they will gain such stuff as speech-to-text, the new version of the Android Market meaning Android 2.1 exclusive apps and such.
Apparently TmoNews have in their possession a leaked internal doc which suggests that training will begin as of the 7th of November, and assuming said training takes a couple of weeks, we could expect to see Android 2.1 hitting the Motorola CLIQ mid-November, so if any of our Motorola CLIQ owning readers get the upgrade feel free to let us know.

CLIQ behind, how about the Backflip. It is still on 1.5,
go to the motorola support forums now to get 2.1 first – 2k folks get to be part of the pre-roll out
