Although not officially announced as yet we have a whisper concerning a new Android based smartphone coming out of the Motorola camp, which is known as the Motorola Olympus but apparently the device could well end up with AT&T in the not too far off future.

According to an article over on Softpedia by Ionut Arghire, the Boy Genius has been told that the Motorola Olympus, if it keeps said codename, will be an Android packing 4 inch “tablet style” device that will have a “beautiful” display and will “step up its resolution.”

The article further relates that this new Motorola Olympus Android phone will be powered by an NVIDIA chip, while the anonymous source has apparently said it will be “the finest Android handset to hit AT&T.”

The softpedia article also makes mention that the Motorola Olympus has been seen on the net previously when the device had attached the model number MB860, and even then the Big Blue was pointed to as the carrier for the device.
