Cheap 3D Mobile Phone Released in India
Apparently India is going to get their hands on a 3D mobile phone which doesn’t need the use of 3D glasses and will be quite an affordable device which is offered by Spice Mobility and known as the M-67 3D phone.
According to an article over on Engadget by Thomas Ricker, Spice Mobile will offer the M-67 3D phone for a very reasonable Rs. 4,299 which is apparently less than $100 coming in at just $97.00.
Spec wise the Spice Mobility M-67 3D phone will sport a 2.36 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels, dual SIM slots, and dedicated 3D shortcut key which enables users to flip between 2D and 3D viewing for videos, images and the user interface, 16GB expandable memory, FM radio and MP3 player.
However, unfortunately the Spice Mobile M-67 3D phone only packs a 2D camera and not a 3D camera so you won’t be taking any 3D videos on the handset; still it’s good to see a glasses-less 3D phone making an appearance in India at a cheap price.

The launch of this device is further evidence of the general momentum towards 3D mobile. It shows the consumer demand for 3D multimedia features in developing markets, even in a lower spec device with no 3D capture capability and a low res screen.
Movidius (www.movidius.com) recently launched the Myriad 3D platform, which enables handset OEM's to add a number of 3D features to mobile devices including 3D video capture, 3D image capture and real-time 2D to 3D upscaling. Our market research shows that 3D mobile multimedia features will gain traction rapidly in developed markets in high end Smartphones, which have sufficient screen size and processing power to deliver a high quality 3D experience.
