There has been word going round that the joint venture between Garmin and Asustek which eventually delivered the Garmin-Asus nuviphone to the mobile arena is coming to an end, and now apparently that has been confirmed by Asustek Computer.
According to an article over on Phone Scoop, and by way of Reuters, Asustek has now officially confirmed that their joint venture business partnership with Garmin will look to end the partnership once their current contract ends.
Asus has stated apparently that they will deliver further details on the spit on Tuesday, but in all fairness this parting of the ways probably comes after their several smartphones produced under the Garmin-asus brand failed to do as well as expected.
Back in September, Garmin did announce that they were deciding on the future of their smartphone business and are ready to leave the business if it doesn’t work out. So anyone really surprised that this partnership is going to end especially after the ridiculous delays with their first device?
