T-Mobile in Germany has now lost its exclusivity over the iPhone and now apparently Apple has begun offering their iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 unlocked off contract to German customers.
According to an article over on Apple Insider by Josh Ong, Yesterday O2 Germany and Vodafone Germany both started carrying the iconic Apple smartphone although T-Mobile Germany will continue to offer the device as well.
Thus Apple’s German online store has now updated to show the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 as contract free and unlocked and promoting that the handset will “work with the wireless carrier of your choice.”
Prices for the unlocked version of the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 are, €519 for the 8GB iPhone 3GS, €629 for the 16GB iPhone 4 and €739 for the 32GB iPhone 4. So now that Germany has gone multi-carrier with the iPhone anyone looking to pick up an unlocked iPhone in Germany?
