Last week T-Mobile announced via their Twitter account that the Windows Phone 7 HTC HD7 smartphone would become available as of the 8th of November and would command a price tag of $199.99 on contract, which seems a reasonable price.
However according to an article over on Engadget by Chris Ziegler, Amazon Wireless has actually undercut T-Mobile when it comes to pricing for the HTC HD7 handset and will be offering the Windows Phone 7 device for $30 less than T-Mobile coming in at $169.99.
Now this is nothing out of the ordinary as it is usual practice for people such as Amazon to offer smartphone at a low cost than 1st-party counterparts, but the thing is it is unusual for Amazon to offer a lower price than T-Mobile as of day one.
However is hasn’t actually been confirmed that Amazon’s price will start from day one but their site does say…”usually 1 to 3 week” for shipping, which apparently matches up with the actual drop date thereabouts, so it does look like customers will be able to grab the HTC HD7 for a lower cost the same day T-Mobile offers the device. So will you grab your HTC HD7 from T-Mobile or Amazon?
