Well this looks to be confirmation that the actual successor to the original Google Nexus One superphone does indeed exits although the Google Nexus Two won’t be coming from HTC but rather is a Samsung manufactured handset.
According to an article over on Gizmodo by Matt Buchanan, friends of Gizmodo managed to get some playtime with the Google Nexus Two handset which will apparently comes packing a front facing camera.
Their source said that “When I first saw it from 10 feet away, I thought it was the Galaxy S. I was a little surprised it was the Nexus Two,” apparently due to the device being very different from the Nexus One.
So here’s what the Nexus Two looks like…it’s shiny and black glossy plastic and has “got this curve to it,” and the source states the device packs the same 4 inch AMOLED touch screen as the Samsung Galaxy S series. The back is curved while the front is “sort of concave,” with hard edges say the source.
However the main difference with the Nexus Two from the US Samsung Galaxy S variants other than the Epic 4G, is that the Nexus two sports that front facing camera and runs stock Android OS which the source says was still “real buggy.”
So there you have it, now the thing is, is there anyone out there that actually would be interested in another smartphone from Google considering how poorly the Nexus One did?
