Yes folks that every increasing area of smartphone maker paten infringement legal batters is again in the new, this time mainly due to iPhone maker Apple filing a law suit for patent infringement again Motorola, who earlier sued Apple for the same thing.
It’s not surprising Apple counter-sued Motorola as it seems that’s the norm these days. According to an article over on Gizmodo by Casey Chan, Patently Apple reports that Apple has fired their legal guns towards Droid maker Motorola with 2 patent infringement lawsuits that cover 6 patents to do with multi-touch.
Apparently Apple mentions just about every Motorola smartphone to be released since the Motorola RAZR in the filings, smartphones such as the Droid, Droid 2, Droid X, Motorola Devour, Devour i5, the Charm 1, the CLIQ and the Motorola CLIQ XT, oh and the Motorola Backflip.
Patently Apple has all the details of the six patents in question so you can hit up their website for that info if you are that interested. Basically though isn’t it about time everyone in the smartphone world stopped suing everyone and come to some kind of agreement, or do they simply prefer paying their legal bods to shove around papers for years on end before anything is finalised and agreed.
