All you HTC desire users on the Telus network over in Canada who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Android 2.2 OS for your HTC Desire which went live last week, unfortunately it appears you still have a bit of a wait on your hands.
According to an article over on Mobile Syrup by Kate O’Brien, Telus support has announced via their Twitter account that “We got word that Android 2.2 has been pushed back and will be out in the near future in Q4.”
Originally Android 2.2 had been promised in October by Telus, but the upgrade to the HTC Desire was quickly pulled after only a few minutes of being live, and Telus hasn’t offered any explanation as to why the Android 2.2 upgrade was pulled.
Thus for now anyway HTC Desire owners are again left waiting for the upgrade, which will be coming but not when you originally expected it. Are you annoyed at the delay of Android 2.2 for the Telus HTC Desire?
