The guys over at Creative Labs have now officially unveiled their Zen Touch 2 mobile media player, which apparently is powered by the Android platform and is a smaller version of their Ziio tablets which were recently launches.
According to an article over on Itproprotal, the new Zen Touch 2 sports the Android 2.1 operating system along with a 3.2 inch touch screen, 2 megapixel camera WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, compass, accelerometer, microSD expansion and composite video out along with a GPS option.
All versions are expected to become available sometime in December and as for pricing, the Zen Touch 2 8GB commands a price tag of £150 or £160 with GPS while the 16GB Zen Touch 2 without GPS costs £160.
Taking a leaf out of Apple’s strategy, Creative Labs has created a tablet and portable media player that share numerous features such as software and maybe hardware; although not quite an Android phone maybe Creative Labs will push out a phone in the not too distant future.
