With the latest Android operating system on the horizon, namely Android 2.3 Gingerbread, along with the rumour that the Google Nexus Two is also in the making one would have presumed that the Nexus Two would be the first Google device to pack Gingerbread.
However, according to an article over on Gizmodo by Kat Hannaford, this won’t be the case as Twitter user Fuentes Vasquez that apparently works on the leadership team of the Open Handset Alliance has tweeted that Gingerbread will come to the Nexus One first.
Vasquez’s tweet was…”Preparen sus Nexus One (Developer version) para la actualización vÃa OTA de Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) para los próximos dÃas :-D”, which when translated via Google means…”Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the next few days :-D”
So if correct it appears that the Nexus One will gain Android 2.3 Gingerbread as an over the air update first with rumour that it could well land on Thursday the 11th of November. So could this also mean that the Google Nexus Two smartphone has now been delayed?
