HTC and T-Mobile tired hard to stop any rooting on the T-Mobile G2 handset, they simply didn’t want anyone tinkering with their device so made it somewhat difficult to accomplish, but a temporary root did come along.

However, according to an article over on Engadget by Chris Ziegler, the guys over at XDA-developers may have been slowed down a tad, but it hasn’t stopped them as they now have a permanent T-Mobile G2 root solution.

Apparently the new permanent root starts with the temporary root and then adding a few extra steps to accomplish a permanent root of the Android T-Mobile G2, but as usual every care must be taken when attempting to root your device.
