Android Gingerbread Samsung Phone Coming February?
It appears that there is a new flagship smartphone on the horizon in the Samsung camp that may be coming to the mobile space early next year and although the device doesn’t yet have a name but apparently will sport Google’s latest Android operating system Gingerbread.
According to an article over on Engadget by Chris Ziegler, they have come into possession of a Samsung slide which shows off a few details of the new smartphone which has been tipped to appear sometime in February which points towards a WMC unveiling.
Those details are short on supply but the slide shows that the Samsung device will sport Android Gingerbread OS along with a 4.3 or 4.5 inch “aAMOLED2” display so presumably the 2nd generation Super AMOLED, 1.2GHz processor, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p video, Bluetooth 3.0, 14.4Mbps HSPA and 16GB memory.
There’s also mention of Galaxy S on the slide so one can presume this is a next generation Samsung Galaxy S device which features what they call an “ultra sleek design.” So more on this as an when we hear, probably nearer MWC 2011.
