As you may be aware the latest smartphone out of the joint HP and Palm camp, the Palm Pre 2 is to be sold in the United Kingdom as a SIM free device carrying a price tag of some 399 quid; however if you want the Palm Pre 2 don’t think for one minute you can walk into a phone shop to get it.
According to an article over on Pocket-lint, they have talked to all the major operators in the UK and asked if they will be stocking the Palm Pre 2 and the reply from all was basically a straightforward no.
Orange UK said…“We have no plans to stock it at the moment.” 3 UK commented…“No, there are no plans to range the Palm Pre 2 at this time.”
Vodafone UK replied…“We don’t plan to feature the device in the UK range.” While O2 UK answered…“The Palm Pre Two will not be available on O2. We offer a range of the best handsets through our product portfolio and regularly review this to ensure it continues to meet the demands of our customers.”
