For those of you who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Android 2.2 Froyo for your HTC Legend smartphone while all the news has been about Google’s Gingerbread version, you might be glad to know that Android 2.2 Froyo is now hitting the HTC Legend on Vodafone.

According to an article over on Android Central and by way of the guys over on Pocket-Lint, the HTC Facebook page has now confirmed that the Android 2.2 Froyo update is now available to European HTC Legends on the Vodafone network.

If you own a HTC Legend smartphone and haven’t received notification of the Android 2.2 Froyo update yet hang on in there because you will be notified sooner or later, and to be honest it’s been a long time coming.

Also according to the Pocket-Lint article the HTC Desire on Virgin Media is also receiving the Android 2.2 Froyo update as of 9am this morning although only available to those Virgin customers with firmware 1.23.351.
