We all know that the multi platform mobile game from Rovio, Angry Birds took the mobile space by storm this year and is one of the most popular games on the iOS platform, Symbian platform and Android platform, but what next for Angry Birds?
Well according to an article over on TiPb by Leanna Loft and by way of the guys over at Pocket Gamer, there is a sequel of the Angry Birds game on its way but won’t be called Angry Birds 2 as this time the game takes the view of the little green pigs, so could we be seeing Angry Pigs hit the mobile space, or perhaps Angry Birds Revenge of the Pigs?
Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio’s CEO has also said that there will be a multiplayer version of Angry Birds at some stage in the future which will resemble an “old school Worms game,” and that a multiplayer version is a priority however they haven’t found the best way for players to experience multiplayer just yet.
With Angry Birds being as successful as it is, any sequel to the popular game is bound to be just as successful when it’s released. I wonder if Rovio will make the new Android version a free download as they did with the original.
