Now perhaps in future the tablet may take the place of the smartphone in the mobile space, only if a tablet could make voice calls just like a smartphone; well apparently this has now been accomplished with the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Andrew Munchbach, the guys over at XDA-developers have managed to get the phone.apk Android module onto the Samsung Galaxy Tab on the T-Mobile network.
Apparently forum member Jyveafk has now worked out just how to flash the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab by using Odin3 which enables the device to make and receive phone calls over the T-Mobile EDGE network.
However the guys do state that this is basically “for experienced flashers only,” and that all caution should be taken, but if you live on the wild side and fancy having a go at flashing your Galaxy Tab and get calls working feel free to let us know how you get on.
