It appears that Apple is stepping into the voice recognition game according to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in a recent interview in which Wozniak states that Apple recently purchased voice recognition company Nuance.
We have that interview video for your perusal below courtesy of the guys over at 9to5 Mac and by way of TVDeck, although they suggest that perhaps Wozniak meant Siri other than Nuance, but Wozniak does mention Siri later in the interview.
The Wozniak interview video lasts just over the two minute mark and Wozniak can be hear saying that Apple purchased Nuance at about the 53 second mark, and to be honest there’s no mistaking what Wozniak says.
Apparently Nuance is valued at over $5 billion which is one hefty price for Apple to pay, but as far as we are aware there has been now official announcement of Apple purchasing Nuance. So hit up that video below and check it out for yourself, but it does appear Steve Wozniak is confirming Apple’s purchase of Nuance.
