It looks like Rupert Murdoch isn’t the only one who is looking to launch an Apple iPad specific digital magazine as it appears Richard Branson is also getting in on the magazine for iPad action with his Virgin company.
According to an article over on Mashable by Lauren Indvik, Virgin Group is gearing up to unveil the new iPad specific digital magazine app in New York on Tuesday at a press event.
Back in July it was reported Virgin’s new magazine would focus around the “entrepreneurial space,” and highlight “new creative, business, travel and technology ideas,” targeted towards an “upscale international audience.”
However apparently the invitation to Virgin’s press event apparently cites entertainment, international culture, business, design, and travel, which according to the article sounds like the new iPad app could be a digital in-flight magazine much like the printed version Virgin hands out on their flights.
Other than that not a great deal is known about Virgin’s new iPad magazine, but as it isn’t too long until that press event we should find out more soon.
