The latest Android 2.2 Froyo packing smartphone out of the HTC camp, namely the much sought after HTC Desire HD is apparently somewhat too desirable over here in the United Kingdom, so much so that the device is suffering from supply shortages.
According to an article over on Eurodroid, 3 for the UK major mobile networks have stated they are struggling to keep up with demand for the HTC Desire HD, and Vodafone UK, Orange UK and T-Mobile UK all stating that stock of the HTC Desire HD are either low or completely out.
Apparently Orange UK is showing limited stock along with a phone number which customers can call for info and no doubt be offered a different device; T-Mobile is showing out of stock while Vodafone is also showing limited stock.
So if you are hoping to pick up a Android packing HTC Desire HD here in the UK before Christmas it’s beginning to look highly doubtful you’ll be able to do so as there is no word on when stocks will be replenished.
