If you are one of the iOS faithful you’ll probably know about the disappearing folders bug that has been plaguing the iPhone and iPod Touch, and one would have presumed Apple would have sorted that annoying bug with the release of iOS 4.2.1 for the iPad by apparently not.
According to an article over on TiPb by Georgia, after you have spent considerable time arranging your apps into neat little folders only to find that when you come back later some folders have apparently vanished and the apps placed inside return all over your home screen.
So not only does the user lose the folders their time putting the apps into the folders in the first place is also wasted and can be quite insufferable as you then have to go through the whole process yet again.
Apparently some users have experienced this issue after updating to a new version of iTunes, doing hard resets or updating the apps on-device, but it is somewhat difficult to pin down the cause. However apparently Apple Discussions member Painthead may have come up with a fix…you update all your apps, place them in folders and sync your iPhone or iPad.
So give it a try and see if it works and if it does or if it fails please let us know by posting a comment to our comments area below.
