There’s a new application for iOS devices available that will enable the user to wirelessly sync their collection of images on your iPhone, iPod touch and Apple iPad to your home Mac or PC and is called Cinq Free for ioS devices.
According to an article over on Redmond Pie by Fahad Khan, Cinq Free for iOS works over both 3G and WiFi, and there are 3 app versions available, a free ad supported version for the iPhone and iPod Touch and also a paid version, and a paid version for the Apple iPad.
When you download your preferred version of Cinq Free to your iOS device you will be required to follow the in-app info to visit the Cinq website and create an account followed by downloading a small sever application for your computer which keeps connection with your iOS device.
Once you have gone through the rigmarole of grabbing the app, account creation and server app all you need do is launch the mobile app, login to your newly created account and all your photo albums should be available. When you snap a shot with your device, or select from your camera roll, the Cliq app will wirelessly upload the full resolution image to your computer.
Images can then be saved, or shared via Facebook or Twitter; although considering the resolution is full it is understandable that uploading takes a little time, and be warned uploading cannot complete in the background via the iOS 4x multitasking feature; however that will happen sometime in the future.
The Cinq Free application for iOS devices is a free app which is available to download to your device from iTunes while the Cliq client for Mac and PC requires Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Mac OSX 10.5 or above.
So if you fancy trying out the Cliq wireless sync app for iOS devices go grab it, and feel free to express your opinions of the app whether good or bad, if you experience and issues and such in our comments area below.
