Verizon recently announced its new Motorola Droid Android 2.2.1 aka FRG83D OTA update and we would love to know how you are getting on.
The new Android 2.2.1 updates has many new features including updated Twitter application with new authentication support, updated Amazon Widget, updated News and Weather Widget, Improvements to Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, new Gmail user interface and much more.
The Google Nexus One received the Android 2.2.1 first a couple of weeks ago and it makes sense that the Motorola Droid series got the update, now we would like to know how you are getting on because we have had a few emails sent in via our readers that Android 2.2 caused a few problems like battery life was knocked down a little and we would like to know if you have encountered these problems with this new update.
Now that Android 2.3 Gingerbread is making its way onto Google smartphones it makes us wonder if this install was worth it, many may wait for the Gingerbread update for Droid whenever that will be.
For more information please do visit the Verizon support page, they have a detailed PDF file for you to read that gives you all what you need to know.
