Chinese manufacturer Huawei probably isn’t that well known in the mobile space for their mobile phones, however Huawei is going to release 3 new Android based low cost IDEOS devices in India this month.
According to an article over on Techtree, and by way of Androidos, the first Android handset to launch in India will be the IDEOS U8150, which will feature a 2.8 inch QVGA capacitive touch screen and also arrive carrying the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, however the device will only pack a rather slow 528 MHz processor
Other specs include 3G, GPS, WiFi, 3.2 mgapixel camera and a 3.5mm jack. The IDEOS U8150 is expected to retail at under Rs. 8000 although the actual selling price has yet to be confirmed.
Furthermore according to Telecomyatra, by mid-Jan 2011 India will se another two Android IDEOS handsets in the form of the Huawei IDEOS X5 and Huawei IDEOS X6. The X5 will sport a 3.8 inch capacitive touch screen, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, GPS, 3G, HSDPA and HSUPA.
The IDEOS X6 will sport a 4.1 inch capacitive touch screen, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, HD video recording and playback, HDMI out and Dolby Mobile surround sound. Pricing for both the X5 and X6 is yet to be announced.
