The Nokia faithful may remember that back in September Nokia announced their latest flagship smartphone the Nokia E7, which was expected to begin shipping by the end of 2010; however once again Nokia has let the Nokia faithful down.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Stefan Constantinescu, Reuters is reporting that Nokia has announced the delay in shipping the new Nokia E7 with the delay pushing back the release of the device until “early 2011,” which could basically mean any time in the first half of the year.
As it’s been quite some time since Nokia fist announced the Nokia E7 you may have forgotten what the device will sports so here’s a quick reminder …4 inch Nokia Clear Black touch screen, 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, secondary VGA 720p video camera, slide out full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, HDMI out, 16GB memory, and auto-switching between WCDMA and GSM bands.
So there you have it, once again a smartphone manufacturer can’t keep to their expected launch windows and thus delays the device, and what reason do Nokia give for the delay? Well apparently a spokesperson for Nokia has said… “To ensure the best possible user experience on the E7 we have decided to begin shipping in early 2011.”
Isn’t it good to know that above all Nokia has the “user experience” at the forefront of their minds, or is that simply just an excuse for not having the Nokia E7 ready when they said they would?
So have you ordered the Nokia E7 and if so will this delay force you to reconsider and cancel your order, or are you prepared to wait until god knows when to own the Nokia E7?
