If you are one of the Nokia faithful and have a Nokia N8 smartphone sporting the latest operating system from Nokia Symnian^3 the last thing you want to do is miss out on any new updates to the OS. So how do you go about getting that latest over the air Symniab^3 update?

Well the guys over at NokNok have come up with a simple tutorial on how to update firmware on the Nokia N8 over the air, which is fairly easy if you wish to check for any available over the air updates and goes like this…

First click on “Menu”, then “Settings”, then “Phone Management”, then press “Device Updates,” and this will show you the current firmware version running on your Nokia N8 handset. Now click on “Options” and then “Check for Updates,” and the device will let you know if there are any firmware updates released and available.

Of course if there are any Nokia N8 OTA firmware updates available, make sure you back up your files and contacts before initiating the update, and the job should go quite smoothly. Nokia N8 owners can of course also update via Nokia Software Updater and their computer.
