According to an article over on Phone Arena by way of Android Central, that Android 2.2 Froyo update could well be hitting said devices sometime today the 17th of December according to a leaked Sprint document.
The Android 2.2 Froyo update will apparently be over the air to the Samsung Intercept so for owners to find out if they have received the update all you need to do is head to “Menu” then “Settings” then “About Phone” and check that the badsband version if S:M910.05.S.DL05 and build number Froyo.DL05.
Along with delivering support for Adobe Flash, Android 2.2 Froyo delivers several fixes for the Samsung Intercept including forced close on messages, inability to access Google.com, dropped calls, and will also install TeleNav GPS Navigation.
