If you are patiently awaiting the release of the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread toting Google Nexus S smartphone over here in the UK, apparently there is some delay will pushing the device out confirmed the Carphone Warehouse.
According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Zach Epstein, the Carphone Warehouse has confirmed a short delay in getting the Google Nexus S out but fortunately potential UK customers don’t have to wait that long to grab the smartphone.
Thus the new release date for the Google Nexus S from Carphone Warehouse will be the 22nd of December which is only a day away anyway and still in time for Christmas and the price of the Nexus S is now lower too, rather than being offered for £549.99 minus contract the device now costs £429.99 without contract.
The Google Nexus S is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse and will be offered as a free handset on contract with a plan of £30 per month and above. However apparently there will be limited stock available at launch at key Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy stores while other Carphone Warehouse branches will be taking orders for the device via instant ship delivery.
So if you are desperate to snag an Android packing Google Nexus S smartphone in time for Christmas you’d best give your local Carphone Warehouse store a quick call to se if they will have any stock on the day.
