Over in Canada Rogers Wireless now offers customers the latest smartphone out of the HP/Palm camp, the webOS 2.0 Palm Pre 2, and today we have a little unboxing and hands on for your viewing pleasure.
The Palm Pre 2 unboxing and hands-on video comes our way courtesy of Simon Sage over at Intomobile and delivers seven and a half minutes of getting up closer and personal wit the new Palm smartphone, of which Simon says the hardware is much the same as the Palm Pre other than a glass front and larger sliding keyboard.
On the Palm Pre 2 webOS 2.0 front, Simon says it includes a universal search that can launch into starting a status update and an email, stacked cards for simpler multitasking, and Exhibition that changes how apps work if they are using the Touchstone charging dock.
Spec wise the Palm Pre 2 offers such things as a 3.1 inch capacitive touch screen, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 512MB RAM, 3G, WiFi, mobile hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, 16GB onboard storage, and a 3.5mm jack.
