On Sunday apparently the iconic Apple iPhone built in alarm failed to go off something apparently many iPhone owners have complained about as the device failed to wake them on New Years Day and thus Apple has received numerous complaints.
According to an article over on Reuters, Natalie Harrison, a spokes woman for Apple said in an email to Reuters…”We’re aware of an issue related to non-repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2.” And also that Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.”
Apparently the failure of the iPhone alarm caused thousands of users to be late for work along with being late for trains and flights according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The BBC has said the failure appears to affect single alarm setting on the iPhone 4 along with earlier versions that have updated software.
However, according to an article over on Engadget as of the 3rd of January when the iPhone alarm is supposed to be working again complains on Twitter and Facebook say otherwise and that the iPhone alarm is still not working.
So any of our readers suffered a little lateness because of their iOS alarm failing? If so feel free to shout out in our comments area below. My advice is go buy a cheap alarm clock as they seem to work rather well.
