Okay well that was pretty quick, but apparently there is already an updated version of PwnageTool which can jailbreak iOS 4.3 beta on the iPhone 4 and will support other devices in the not too distant future.
According to an article over on Gadget Venue by way of the chaps over at Redmond Pie, the updated version of PwnageTool uses iPhone master hacker Geohot’s bootrom based LimeRa1n exploit which is capable of jail breaking all iOS devices for life.
However as usual the new PwnageTool comes sporting a warning to users…”This unofficial version of PwnageTool (with custom bundles) wont preserve your old baseband. If you rely on an unlock, stay away from this release. Proceed at your own risk only. We are not to be held responsible if you end up bricking your iPhone.”
The guys over at Redmond Pie have a 10 step guide on how to use the new PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.3 Beta on the iPhone 4 and you can check it out by hitting their website.
However in an update they are reporting that there appears to be a few broken patches in the bundle which may cause you to get an error whilst restoring in iTunes.
So caution is required when using the new PwnageTool, but if you do try it out feel free to let us know if it work fine for you or if you experience and problems.
If however you prefer a visual guild on how to jailbreak iOS 4.3 Beta on the iPhone 4 we have a video demo of that for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of iCrackUriDevice…enjoy.
