At CES 2011 Motorola showcased the smartphone they are promoting as the “world’s most powerful smartphone,” namely the Motorola Atrix 4G handset and revealed just about everything about the device except for a release date and price.

However according to an article over on Engadget by Sean Hollister, the guys over at Android Central have somehow managed to get their mitts on what they are saying is an internal AT&T document which pegs the release date for the Motorola Atrix 4G.

Now originally Motorola stated the Motorola Atrix 4G would release in Q1, and according to said AT&T document, Motorola is cutting it a bit fine as the expected release date for the device is the 1st of March.

However, according to the Android Central guys, March 1st is only a possible launch date as traditionally AT&T launch new gear on a Sunday whereas March 1st happens to be a Tuesday, so either AT&T is breaking with tradition or the date is wrong.

So for now March 1st remains in the realms of a ‘possible rumoured’ Motorola Atrix 4G release date until otherwise confirmed.
