All things Apple seem to be hitting the net these days, we’ve just had the official outing of the Verizon iPhone, a rumour on the white iPhone 4, and now more new on the Apple iPad 2 and the Apple iPhone 5.
According to an article over on Top News by way of the guys over at Engadget that claim “reliable sources” say the new Apple iPad 2 and the iPhone 5 will both sport a Qualcomm chip which will support both GSM and CDMA bands.
Sporting the dual GSM and CDMA chip means the iPhone 5 will be able to play nice on both AT&T and Verizon networks apparently sport both front and rear camera but will not be 4G LTE enabled.
As for the 3G Apple iPad 2 it too will be GSM and CDMA enabled will sport both front and rear cameras and will apparently carry an SD card slot along with new screen technology similar to Retina Display.
Here’s what Engadget’s Joshua Topolsky says…“From what we’ve been told, the thinner, sleeker tablet will sport a new screen technology that is akin to the iPhone 4’s Retina Display and will be “super high resolution.”
Of course if the Apple iPad 2 does indeed come with both GSM and CDMA radios as rumours then the new device will also be able to play nice with Verizon alongside the iPhone 5.
