Have you got the willpower not to answer your mobile phone whilst driving? As you know there are many motorists out there that answer their phones and text whilst driving and a T-Mobile driving app for Android devices will prevent this.
T-Mobile has a brand new application that will block calls and texting while driving; the new Android app is called ‘DriveSmart Plus’ and will automatically disable calls and texting whilst the handset is in motion.
Many vehicle users should switch mobile phones off whilst driving, which is the easiest and cheapest option but as you are aware many of us never do this and this is why the new T-Mobile DriveSmart Plus is a must. Driving responsibly does save lives and mobile phones are the number one distraction.
The new application is now available via T-Mobile (You need to login) and costs $4.99 per month, it works when your vehicle is driving more than 10mph and once in motion the service will send text messages to an inbox according to ABC News and redirect all phone calls to a voicemail, or a Bluetooth headset.
The new app also disables audible alerts as not to distract the driver, at the moment this service is only available to Android smartphone users. Please visit Engadget for the full T-Mobile press release.
Would you pay $4.99 per month for this new service or would you be sensible enough to just switch the mobile phone off before commencing your journey?
