The world’s first dual core smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X has now gone on sale in its homeland of South Korea and although doesn’t bring any new surprises as most details on the LG Optimus 2X are already known, it appears the device will gain a new colour next month.
According to an article over on Engadget by Vlad Savov, and by way of IT Today, the Tegra 2 sporting LG Optimus 2X smartphone will becomes available in white sometime in February.
Quick spec rundown for the LG Optimux 2X according to GSMarena… 4 inch capacitive touch screen, 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1080p and 720p video, 1.3 megapixel secondary camera, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H dual-core processor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth8GB storage, microSD expansion up to 32GB, Android 2.2 Froyo OS, an 3.5mm jack.
So there you have it, if you are in South Korea you can now pick up the LG Optimus 2X, but apparently there no word on whether the rest of the world will gain the white version of the smartphone or whether it will remain in South Korean clutches only.
