Motorola Defy India Launch, Specs & Price
India seems to be getting a lot of new Android smartphone releases of late and the latest one to join in on the act is the launch of the Motorola Defy.
According to AndroidOS.in the Motorola Defy will launch in India (Possibly Today) and the price for the unlocked handset will be Rs. 20,000, which is a lot better than the Motorola XT Glam price we mentioned earlier today.
This India release and price is not for definite as of yet but we will let you know, at the moment like the source above says; it is not for certain of this handset will release with a contract or it will remain as an unlocked mobile phone.
The Motorola Defy at the moment runs on Android 2.1 but the Indian version will be getting Android 2.2 Froyo update during the second quarter.
The Motorola Defy main specs include a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, microSD slot, Bluetooth, GPS, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, WiFi, HSPA and much more. For more information on full specs please visit GSM Arena.

purchased it yesterday via a dealer in Hyd. !!! Warning !!! There is a major defect. Hold your purchases. Here is what happened to me. Unboxed and switched on to configure and copy my contacts etc .. After some time the phone stuck with no alternative but to do a hardware reset. I pulled out the battery and plugged it in… It has so far never switched on ! I charged it for 4-5 hrs thinking that battery might be dry but did not help. Tried few forums to find out and tried all the remedies mentioned to do a hard reset and … I am going to return the handset or get it replaced today. I think its a genuine problem and all Indian handsets (made in Chennai) are going to face this issue. Please hold your purchases.
