Guinness World Record Swype Keyboard Set Without Hands
Do you use a Swype keyboard on your smartphone to quickly text messages? Do you use your hands to tap out those messages, because apparently there is a way of typing using Swype without the use of your hands.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Marin Perez and by way of Ubergizmo, Hank Torres of Round Rock, Texas, is a quadriplegic, and has managed to set a Guinness World record for using the Swype keyboard without hands, as he has no feeling from the shoulder down.
Apparently he set the record using his mouth by utilising headtracking software and a computer to write this in 83.09 seconds…“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”
Have to say that’s quite an accomplishment as I probably wouldn’t be able to type out that using my fingers on the swype keyboard, so well done to Hank for achieving the record.
And just so you can see how it’s done we have a video of Hanks attempting the world record for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of MySwype, so head don down, punch that play button and check it out…enjoy.
