So HTC is stepping into the tablet game with their Android toting HTC Flyer, a 7-inch slate featuring a pen-sensitive display for drawing and writing freehand. So we thought you might like a closer look at what HTC has to offer.
The HTC Flyer hardware overview video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Daily Mobile and by way of YouTube user Hdblog, and delivers an eight minute tour of the new Android tablet that sports an aluminium unibody.
Spec wise according to the article the HTC Flyer packs the Android 2.3.3 operating system although previous reports have it that the HTC Flyer will come out to play sporting Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a specs run down for the HTC Flyer can be found by hitting up (here).
The thing of debate with the HTC Flyer is could it stand up to the likes of not only other Android tablets that sport Android 3.0 Honeycomb such as the Motorola Xoom and LG Optimus Pad, but also whether the device can stand its ground against the upcoming Apple iPad 2.
Personally my view is the HTC Flyer will probably see Android Honeycomb not too long after launch, but whether it can hold its own against the next generation Apple iPad remains to be seen. So, with that said I’ll let you punch that play button so you can make up your own mind…enjoy.
