iiNet BoB 2, which is not a great re-invention when it comes to names, is new in Australia being released by iiNet Labs. The new Modem with home phone should release sometime in April, no price has been stamped on it as of yet.
The second largest Australian DSL provider has decided to re-launch the BOB brand and even though the name is basically the same with a number 2 at the end should bring some exciting new features, Gizmodo said they could have given it a better name so that it does not confuse it with the first one that was released.
The BoB Main features Include: Handset with full colour screen and built in message bank, Powered by DECT and the latest cordless telephony CAT-iq for VoIP and other Internet-based services such as audio and video streaming, NBN ready, fetchtv ready, Dual VOIP capability to support two phone numbers from dual providers, Sleek design and ADSL2+ modem router supporting the latest 802.11n standards in wireless technology.
The device that is FetchTV compatible comes with a phone handset and a built-in answering machine, the question here has to be “Will the reception be as good as the first model?” saying that the original was a success with customers.
The new iiNet BoB 2 is due to be released in April and as soon as we hear about the price we will let you know, prices will vary dependent on bundles that will be on offer. For more information please visit iiNet.
