Well folks if your 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core Motorola Xoom isn’t quite fast enough for your liking you can always overclock the Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to 1.5GHz apparently, as evidenced in the video footage we have for your viewing pleasure below.
The footage of the Motorola Xoom being overclocked to 1.5GHz comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Daily Mobile and by way of YouTube user Coolbho3000, and lasts just over the five minute mark of showing the Xoom being overclocked using a custom kernel.
Apparently this resulted in a substantial increase in the Android tablet’s speed in both benchmarks and real-world situations, and apparently all the user needs is root access and the kernel to accomplish the same.
So if any of our Motorola Xoom sporting readers want to give it a go you can grab all the necessary from the guys over at XDA-developers, and if you do, feel free to let us know how you get on, but before then don’t forget to check out that video footage below…enjoy.
