One of the Android faithful packing a T-Mobile G2 and hoping your smartphone will eventually be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread? Well apparently you can now grab a new HTC Sense ROM that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
According to an article over on Phandroid, and by way of Intomobile, the new HTC Sense ROM is a mish-mash of previously leaked system images and includes one from the HTC Wildfire S, but apparently the ROM isn’t perfect.
The Sense ROM is called GingerSense, and the current issues with the ROM are…Bluetooth doesn’t work – question mark fails to work on the hardware keyboard – camcorder hangs when pressing record – HTC hub fails to log in – landscape mode in Sense is bugged – and the “card” mail widget doesn’t work.
Some of the above problems are only minor but if you like your ROMs fully working then its best you wait until everything has been sorted out; however if you don’t mind minor stuff failing and want to grab the ROM you can grab all the necessary by hitting up VillianROM.
Of course if you do download the ROM and load it onto your T-Mobile G2 smartphone feel free to let us know if everything goes all right or if you experience problems.
