Japan Earthquake Support via Sega & Capcom iOS App Donations
We all have to sit back and send all our thoughts to those that are suffering in Japan after the devastating earthquake; Sega and Capcom are showing their support by slashing prices of its apps and donating proceeds to help.
Capcom have employees in Osaka and Tokyo regions and are safe and well but many victims in Japan are left without homes and many have died, the devastation is a tragedy and support is needed and this is what Capcom is giving.
Capcom will donate 100 million yen to help victims, they are cutting prices of its apps such as Street Fighter IV starting as of March 15 for one week will now cost 99cents/115yen instead of the original $4.99 and all sales of this app will be donated to support earthquake relief activities.
Sega is also helping support victims by slashing its prices on apps, as of now right up to March 20 Sega is cutting prices of apps that include: Sonic Spinball for $.99, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is now $2.99, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1, is down to $3.99 from $6.99 and Sonic the Hedgehog is now $1.99. All donations made via these price cuts will go to Red Cross.
