How good is the Samsung Galaxy S II, well with the addition of a 1.2GHz processor the speed of the phone seems to have put it above the rest?
The Galaxy S II is operating on a 1.2GHz processor, which makes it operate very fast. In Quadrant this quick dual-core Exynos CPU obtained a 3,053 and was twice the speed of that obtained by the HTC Sensation in the Smartbench 2011.
A test was done on the speed of the Samsung Galaxy S II against a number of other smartphones, HTC Magic, Motorola Droid, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i, HTC Desire, Nexus one, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Evo and Motorola Droid X. The results of the test were good news for the Galaxy S II as its speed surpassed the others quite easily. However, please note that these results are just synthetic benchmarks and do not equate into an equally improved experience for day-to-day usage.
Why not check out the screen print of the chart, showing the overall result on Engadget. The results also show that the new Samsung Galaxy S II was three times as fast as its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S. Also, according to an article by Pocketnow the Galaxy S II will launch on May 1 in the UK.
