For all those in India that have been awaiting the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, you may see a release of the tablet on your shores in summer.
Yesterday, it was revealed by Samsung that their Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be launched on June 8 in the U.S. with a price tag of $499 (Rs. 22,200 approx.), whilst, the 32GB Wi-Fi version will cost $599 (Rs. 26,650 approx.).Please note that we covered the price and release date of this tablet and the 8.9 Tab on the 24 March, see our article here.
It is also being speculated by some online sources that it is quite possible that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will launch in India within a month of it being released in America. It is still not know what price the 3G versions of the tablet will command, however, when it is revealed we will let you know.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs in at slightly over half a kilo and its display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The tablet has two cameras — a 2MP front-facing camera and 3MP main camera with an LED flash and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It will also use a combination of Samsung’s own TouchWIZ UI and the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS.
As revealed in the article by PCWorld.in, the features also include the capability of 1080p HD video playback, Adobe Flash 10.2 and besides the internal memory of both the 16GB and 32GB versions of the tablet, will support microSD cards up to 32GB.
