Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be making its way onto the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G fairly soon, HTC has now announced that this smartphone will receive this update and it looks like a possible release of June.

We visit TFTS (Nexus404) and they report that a customer contacted HTC tech support that asked about the Android 2.3 update coming to the MyTouch 4G and was told that it is coming and that it should roll out soon even though it won’t pass the Q2 mark.

We cannot see it releasing in April or May but hopefully June is the month the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G will receive the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, fingers crossed as they say.

The T-Mobile MyTouch 4G main features include a 1Ghz processor, 8GB microSD card, 768MB RAM, 3.8-inch Super LCD screen, 4GB Memory and can be bought with Android 2.2.1 already installed.
