Android Gingerbread Nexus One Experiencing Call Problems
The word doing the round is that owners of the Google Nexus One smartphone are having some problem with voice calls in the form of a delay at the start of a voice call resulting in the Nexus One shutting off the call.
According to an article over on Pandroid by way of Pocket Now, it appears that the issue is released to Android 2.3 Gingerbread and according to Android Guys; users posting about the problem aren’t apparently getting much help from Google.
However apparently this voice call problem may not be just confined to the Nexus One as according to Phandroid, after running a custom Gingerbread ROM on their HTC EVO they are experiencing the same problem.
So our question is, are any of our readers experiencing this issue or any other problems with their Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone, if so feel free to voice your concerns to our comments area below.

Here are details about this issue reported by so many users since the Gingerbread 2.3.3 was released on in the first week of Mar-2011.
This is a MAJOR issue that makes the phones unable to receive calls. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id…
On 18-Apr-2011, Google decided to Decline this issue and closed it!!
Other major issues in Gingerbread that Google refuses to fix:
1. Blank screen on incoming call – makes it impossible to answer calls http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id…
2. Blank screen and phone unresponsive – have to pull out the battery a few times EACH DAY! http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id…
Add to these other issues like battery drain after Gingerbread update, losing photos in the Gallery, issues like Invisible Keyboard, etc. and you end up with a paperweight.
Yup, I have the delay. Caller on other end doesn't hear me for a few seconds. Phone doen't hang up for me though. Otherwise gingerbread has been a great upgrade for me.
same happen to me i have some delay in call also….that should be fixed …..
Same as TJO here. Very, very annoying, can't believe Google are declining to address this issue.
Don't wanna downgrade, just want a god damn fix!! Comon' Google, get a grip!
Happy with the performance boost. I only noticed the phone problem once someone caught it. If anything its minor from the improvements. Looking forward to an icecream sandwich.
