Android Dual SIM MI 270 Coming From Spice India
Word has it that India will see the launch of their first dual SIM Android smartphone sometime this week coming from Spice Mobility, the Spice MI 270 handset that will release at Spice Hotspots and other retail chains across India.
According to The Mobile Indian, the managing director of Spice Mobility, Dilip Modi has said…” In this week we will launch MI 270, India’s first Android based dual SIM phone. It will have a number of pre-loaded free applications to address the digital lifestyle of youth, and it will be priced at around Rs 9,000.”
Modi also commented that the MI 270 will sport the Android 2.1 Éclair operating system, will feature dual camera, a 600 MHz Media Tek processor, and a 3.7-inch touch screen.
Currently roughly 27% of people in India access the Internet via their mobile phone and that figure is expected to increase to 75% by 2015 and Spice Mobility plans on delivering affordable Android devices to the Indian populace so they can surf the net.
