Sony Ericsson have now announced two additions to their Xperia range of devices, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro, both Android 2.3 Gingerbread packing smartphones that share a wide range of features.
According to an article over on Phone Scoop by way of the Sony Ericsson Blog, both the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro sport the Reality Display and Bravia engines along with a 3-inch touch screen.
Other features the Android handsets share are a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash and 720p HD video capture, DNLA, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and microSD expansion.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini is a monoblock form factor that the company claims is the smallest Android device capable of HD video while the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro has the addition of a slide out QWERTY. As for release of the Android handsets, the word is both devices should release in select markets sometime in Q3.
So it would appear there’s not a great deal of difference between the two other than the slide out keyboard, any of our readers hoping to picking up one of these when they become available?
