As you are no doubt aware, Google I/O 2011 is off and running in San Francisco and one piece of tech equipment on show at the event was the Fossil Meta Watch, a wearable development platform with the hardware paired with an SDK that enables Android tablets or smartphones to receive sensor data and register button presses from the watches.
And the guys at Engagdet where on hand at Google I/O to get some playtime with the Fossil Meta Watch, there are two actually, one analogue and the other digital, and they recorded the occasion on video, which we have for your viewing pleasure below.
The Meta watch is constructed round Texas Instrument’s MSP430TM microcontroller and a CC2560 Bluetooth radio that apparently will keep going for up to 7 days on a single charge and can be placed on pre-order from Texas Instruments commanding a price tag of $199 with availability set for the 30th of June.
Anyway I’ll leave it right there as not to bore your pants off with all the tech jargon and simply let you jump on down and hit that play button to check out the Fossil Meta Watch.
Any of our readers into the Bluetooth watch wearing thing?
