If you have been trying to get hold of the T-Mobile G2x lately you may have been experiencing a problem at getting hold of the Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone, which has been removed from the T-Mobile online store and apparently is difficult to locate in stores.
Apparently the rumour was that the T-Mobile G2x was removed due to problems with the handset such as freezing and random reboots, the same issues that have plagued the LG Optimus 2x the international model, but according to an article over on Phandroid that is not the case.
Apparently the guys have heard from T-Mobile who says that the G2x is unavailable due to high demand for the device and not because of any issues; here’s what T-Mobile has to say…
“The T-Mobile G2X with Google has been a highly popular device with both customers and employees since its launch last month, and high demand has resulted in inventory constraints, which we are working with LG to address.”
So there you go, if you haven’t been able to snap up the Android handset it’s because there aren’t enough to go round at the moment, hopefully LG will ramp up production of the device as well as sorting out some of those reported problems with the device before too long.
